Our verdict

While the site contains an abundance of good deals and discounts, it takes a measure of patience to sort through the clutter, advertisements and unhelpful content to find them. The live chat help, however, can help shoppers navigate the site and find appropriate deals.

Full review

The first thing users may notice upon visiting the CouponCabin site is the content. There is, perhaps, too much content. While it is undeniable that CouponCabin has a vast selection of deals and coupons branching across thousands of stores, the site can be fairly difficult to navigate, and its ad stuffed pages may not cooperate well with older computers.

On the other hand, it is apparent that CouponCabin has been in the online coupon business for some time, and judging by their running tally of coupons clicked and dollars saved, they have been doing it well. One of the truly outstanding and unique features of the website is its live chat, which is up and running at all hours to help customers find whatever they might need.

Signup

Unlike some discount sites, this one requires no particular sign in and its coupons may be used by anyone without becoming a member. Users may, however, sign up for CouponCabin's Coupon Club, and gain access to exclusive deals each week.

Features

CouponCabin deals primarily in online discount codes, which are provided by the site working with partner merchants rather than by its users. This seems to be an advantage for the site in that many of its coupons are assigned a gold star rating, meaning that the discount code is guaranteed to work. The ratings system for other codes is very similar to its competitors, as the code is rated on a percentage scale according to how many shoppers have been able to use it in a successful transaction.

CouponCabin boasts 3, stores on its website, with , offers available. There is a link for users to share their own coupons, but it is fairly well hidden at the bottom of each page, indicating that user submitted coupons are not a large part of the site's business. Rather, the CouponCabin team sifts through tens of thousands of e-mails, blogs, and consumer sites each week to find the most reliable deals for shoppers.

A unique feature of the website is a page linking the user to free samples. The page contains a long list of direct links to company websites from A to Z, advertising anything from a free recipe book for Australian Lamb to free digital magazine subscriptions from Zinio.

CouponCabin does offer a selection of printable and grocery coupons, but for more area specific coupons, the user should visit its sister sites, GoGrocery and CouponMap. The site's printable coupons can be a little confusing, however, as some of the link to the manufacturer's website rather than directly to the coupon itself.

Search

With the amount of content on the site, the search makes pinning down particular discounts and stores a little easier. The search allows for product, store name, and brand to help customers narrow down deals. To make things slightly more confusing, however, if a search result is not found on the CouponCabin site, sometimes the search will redirect the user to one of CouponCabin's sister sites, such as CheapUncle. Users not accustomed to being automatically redirected to a new site may be put off by this.

Notifications

Aside from its daily coupon mailings and newsletter, CouponCabin is accessible through browser add-ons for Internet Explorer and Firefox. The site is also connected to Facebook and Twitter, and offers an RSS feed.

Ease of use

CouponCabin is not the easiest coupon website to use, as it is extremely cluttered and rife with drop-down menus and navigation boxes. Specific deals are difficult to find unless the shopper sticks with the search box, but even then the user runs the risk of being redirected to a new site. Overall, there is simply too much information packed into each page to make navigation of the site easy, and casual browsers will find the website daunting.

Help & support

CouponCabin's support system may be one of the best around, with an easily accessible live chat button at the top of every page. It is fairly unusual for coupon sites to offer customer service at all, but CouponCabin offers live representatives around the clock, ready to help with tech support questions or questions on how to find certain deals.

Overall

CouponCabin may be exceptionally large and difficult to navigate, but its live chat help is a unique feature that brings the site up to par with its competitors. Still, casual shoppers who are frustrated by overly busy web pages may find themselves gravitating to other coupon sites.

    Save some dough!

Great way to get some of that hard earned money back. Friends don’t let friends pay full retail! Payouts can some times be lengthy (+2 months) but your patience is worth higher payouts than similar services. One caveat: Don’t think about inviting friends and family over and shopping at the same time on the same WiFi network. This company will lock your account down and take away your earned cash if they see more than one person (even though they reside at a different address! They should know this, it’s in the profile) using the service on your WiFi network. That’s right, even though you are assisting one of their customers, helping them earn more profit, they don’t care and will pull the plug. I have personally reached out to the company to ask that they reconsider such a restrictive policy to no avail. So buyer beware and happy shopping.

    Buyer Beware

Turns out it’s an elaborate bait and switch scam. At first you may receive cash back on smaller purchases but if you try for the larger amounts they will come up with an excuse not to honor it.
I had the same thing happen to me that has happened to other reviewers. Won a rather large amount to use ($ at Kohls) but after my purchase did not see any cash pending from Coupon Cabin. Contacted customer service (thru email, don’t think there is even a phone number- first red flag) and within a few minutes (second red flag) was told they had contacted Kohl’s and my order “was credited to a different website” and “like us, I’m sure you’d love to know who got credit for this order, but Kohl’s has a strict policy of not sharing this information with us” (too many red flags to count).
This sounded very suspicious to me so I contacted Kohl’s and they confirmed that what Coupon Cabin told me was totally bogus. They said there was definitely proof of my purchase and they would not have told any other third party vendor what Coupon Cabin claimed they had said. Hopefully Kohl’s (and other stores) will get enough complaints that they stop partnering with CC altogether.
I know from other reviews that once you dare to call them out your account will be deactivated, so I already just went ahead and deactivated it myself. Eventually word of mouth spreads and if enough people share their experiences we can stop this from happening to anyone else.

    Love this app..

I have been using coupon cabin for a few years but this past year really started watching how I purchase online orders and trying to get the best deals. I have recently been buying my Lowe’s gift cards from here and enjoy the easy process of it. I’ve only ever had one issue and that was when I made a purchase from Walmart threw CouponCabin, I needed a new tv and wall mount so I did it threw coupon cabin and afterwards I noticed I never received my percentage back so I started reading the rules I guess better and with Walmart they don’t have to give you the percentage there advertising.. which really upset me considering it was a few hundred dollars I had spent. Other then that I’ve had no issues and learned my lesson not to use this site for any future Walmart purchases. Over all really enjoy this web site and for the most part the easy of it.

    CouponCabin Reviews

CouponCabin terminated my account on Jan. 16th after I expressed a legal concern regarding their lack of transparency. I had $ pending in my account at that time. Sydney K., the customer service rep who terminated my account, told me that a final check would be processed within 10 days and mailed out to me. It never was. Ever since then, I've been trying to collect this money. Upon account termination, no one at CouponCabin would talk with me. I was told to mail a letter to their legal department. So at the beginning of March, I sent a formal demand letter to CouponCabin's legal department. After 30 days, I still had not heard back, so I sent an email to their legal department as well as to their customer service department. I received no reply, but two days later, CouponCabin's lawyer, Douglas Cordiano, overnighted me a response letter. The response letter essentially stated that they would not communicate with me except through a lawyer and/or through the Small Claims Court and/or binding arbitration due to my repeated threats of legal action. Of course, this is a gross mischaracterization of statements made by me regarding legal action. There was, in fact, only a potential threat of legal action in the event that CouponCabin did not pay me the money owed. I mean, if someone owes you money, and they won't pay you, what exactly are you supposed to do besides threaten to sue them? If they paid that money, I'd have no reason to seek legal action. This letter, and in particular one that Mr. Cordiano sent to the Illinois Attorney General's office in response to a complaint I made, contained what I will diplomatically refer to as factual errors. In neither case did Mr. Cordiano make any mention whatsoever of the money owed to me or my attempts to collect it. In fact, he seemed to feign ignorance of my objective. Regardless, I did attempt to reach out to Mr. Cordiano in order to settle the matter amicably outside of court. He provided an email address to which I could direct communication from my attorney (as though anyone is going to hire an attorney to collect $). I made clear that what I wanted was the money owed to me, at which point I would let the matter rest. I pointed out to him (again) that CouponCabin informed me on Jan. 15th that I was owed money, and their own customer service representative, Sydney K., also informed me that I was owed this money. Further, Sydney K. also stated that my account was in good standing despite whatever security issue caused my account to no longer be able to be paid out via Paypal. This is particularly important when you examine their Terms and Conditions. Section 3 of the Terms and Conditions, specifically paragraph III, "Termination of Your Membership," states: "If your membership is terminated by CouponCabin, CouponCabin may refuse to pay some or all of the amounts credited to your account if such amounts appear or are suspected (as determined in the sole and exclusive discretion of CouponCabin) to have been earned in violation, or after violation, of these Terms or to have been otherwise unlawfully obtained." Based on Sydney K.'s statement, they did not believe that I had violated their T&C in earning this money. Sydney K. even informed me that a check would be forthcoming. Therefore, CouponCabin is in violation of their own T&C. CouponCabin seems to have no problem using their T&C as a weapon against consumers, but when it applies to them, they have little regard for it. It is my opinion that they are betting that most people will not put in the time and effort to go to court or arbitration in order to recoup small sums of money. I wonder how many accounts they've terminated without paying out what those account holders were owed. I would not be surprised to find this to be a significant source of income for them. So, what options are available now? Clearly they have no interest in acting in good faith. They won't communicate with me, and they've avoided any mention of money as though they were allergic to it. There are two primary courses of action. First, I can sue in Small Claims Court. It would cost about $90 plus some additional expenses related to serving CouponCabin. However, if I were to win, I could recover these expenses from CouponCabin. Other people in my situation may not want to choose Small Claims Court, though, because of location. I think you'd have to either live in Illinois or Indiana or go to one of those states to file. The other option is arbitration. CouponCabin's T&C make this option seem equally unappealing because they state that you'd have to do this in Lake County, IN. However, JAMS, the arbitration company, specifically states that the consumer must be allowed to take part in choosing the arbiter, and they must also be allowed to have the venue take place in their hometown. So, despite what CouponCabin's T&C state, if you want to file an arbitration claim, it should not matter where you live. The filing fee is $, however if you win CouponCabin will have to pay it. Additionally, CouponCabin has to pay several thousand dollars in fees to the arbitration company to have JAMS process the claim and arbitrate it. I don't know CouponCabin's record when it comes to these sorts of cases, but it is entirely possible that if you were to file and arbitration claim, CouponCabin may opt to settle with you rather than pay all of these fees to JAMS. So, if you've got a good case, you may wish to go this route. Perhaps if enough people did, CouponCabin might choose to change their practices. Additionally, I highly recommend you file a complaint with the Attorney General's Office in Illinois. They will probably tell you that they aren't going to do anything, but perhaps if enough people complain, they will have no choice but to take the issue seriously and investigate this company.

I'd steer clear of this company due to transparency issues. They flagged my account for what they deemed "unnatural activity," but they could not explain to me what this activity was or why their security flagged it. Additionally, due to this flagging, they would no longer allow me to receive my cashback electronically (through Paypal, for example) and would only send me paper checks. When I inquired about these problems, all they would tell me was that this problem happened and there was no way to ever resolve it. I had to either accept paper checks from them henceforth or no longer be a member. They stated that their terms and conditions covered this, but when I asked where the relevant passage in the T&C was, they ignored me. I couldn't find it. I complained about their lack of transparency and stated that I might have to look into whether or not this was a legal issue, and they promptly closed my account and will not respond other than to tell me that I have to write a letter to their legal department, at which point they'd get back to me within 30 days. So, I am left not knowing what this unnatural activity was or whether or not it poses a threat to my network. It might not be a coincidence that I had over $75 pending payment, and I don't know if they are trying to steal my money. According to a reply they left on another review, they stated "While we recognize that threats, intimidation and insults may be effective with other companies, they are not at all tolerated at CouponCabin and your account has been permanently closed." So, not only is this company deceptive, they out and out lie. At no point prior to my account being closed did I threaten, intimidate, or insult anyone or anything. Did I tell them that their lack of transparency was problematic enough that I was considering whether or not there should be a legal response, yes. Did I say that I would take legal action unless they did something, no I did not. This is a company that can not be trusted.

I have used couponcabin.com a few times. It is among the top sites I visit when searching for coupons and savings. I like the fact that the coupon and codes on the site are proven; so, unlike other sites, it isn't a 50/50 chance as to whether or not the code will work when you use it at checkout for purchases you make. I also like the test coupons they offer. What this does is gives you test coupons that can be used on a number of sites, or for particular items you want to purchase. So, regardless of where you are shopping online, you can find deals when using these coupons. The fact that all their codes are valid and current is reason enough to use them. The added bonus is that you can find coupons and codes for nearly any online merchant, and new coupons and codes are added several times each day, guaranteeing you will find something that you can use, if you like to shop online, and frequently make purchases using coupons.

I shop online all the time and I love to use coupons whenever possible when I shop so I've used Coupon Cabin on several occasions to find discount codes or free shipping codes that I can use. It's not the easiest site to navigate but it does do the job. The couple minutes I spend searching the site are worth the usual several dollars I save with free shipping or a percentage or dollar off code. I have successfully used this to find codes for sites from Sephora to Staples to Victoria's Secret to Barnes & Noble. Not all of the coupon codes are up to date and there are a certain number which will fail which is always disappointing but about 75% of the time the code will work and I'll get a discount or free shipping. Overall, this is a good quality site that provides coupons for many, many shopping sites and it is definitely worth checking it out if you want to get the best deal possible while shopping online.

I have previously and in the past and numerous times used this website CouponCabin.com and I found it really useful for the most part. The best thing about this website to me is that almost all of the coupon codes work. I love that I dont have to keep trying over and over to find a good coupon code. I have found my favorite thing to use from this website couponcabin.com is the coupon codes for rental cars. I have saved so much money thanks to this website. This website really has something for almost everywhere I shop online and has lots of coupons as well. This website is very easy to maneuver and figure out so I did not have to wast a lot of time searching for what I needed. This is a free website available to everyone. The only thing is I wish they had a few more grocery store coupons and things like that. I certainly recommend that all of my friends and family try this site especially if you love saving money.

Coupon Cabin is a website that has coupons and promo codes for almost any category you can think of. If a store or website has a coupon out there- you are almost guaranteed to find it on Coupon Cabin! The website layout is too complicated in my opinion. There are too many tabs, and to many things listed on each page. That being said, you can search for deals with a search bar at the top of the page by typing in the store you are looking for, or you can search just by a category, such as "fitness." An example of a really good coupon code I found on the website would be 30% off everything at Old Navy.com, excluding sale items. This is just one example. I wouldn't recommend this website if you are looking for grocery coupons, however. They really don't have many, and I was unable to find any links to popular sites such as coupons.com or redplum, the websites that have the most grocery coupons. Overall I rated this website 8 out of 10, because if you are doing any online shopping, you may find a surprise coupon or promo code just by visiting this site!

I have a big family and using coupons is a must in my household so that we are able to afford all of the food and clothes that we need. I use a lot of different couponing websites to help me find the best deals and one that I have come across and used is couponcabin.com. All of the coupons that you find on this website are guaranteed to work, they test them all of the time to make sure that they are still active, so it is nice to have that reassurance because not all of the websites do this. The main issue that I have with this website is that everything is very unorganized and kind of just all over the place on the page. You get pop ups all of the time asking for your email address so that they can send you more deals and it gets really annoying. Being able to find the exact deal that you are looking for or ordering a coupon that you want can become kind of a pain because of this, but if you use their search bar you can find anything that you want. You can order coupons off of this website for a cheap price each, they shit very fast and get to you in a really good amount of time. Shipping is cheap and this can be a huge savings for many families as they help you to find all of the best deals at the stores that are in your areas.

This website is a savvy shoppers dream! There are so many coupons on here I have yet to find a store that was not included. It is so easy to use too, just type in the store you are looking for and any coupon codes available will come up. They also have a collections category, this is where you can see coupons for one specific thing, like fashion. You can sign up too so you can get top daily deals sent right to your email. I have saved so much money using this site, it is great right now with back to school shopping. Ease of Use So easy to use, just type in the store you are shopping and any available coupon codes will pop up. They also have the top hot deals right on the homepage. Product Selection Literally hundreds of thousands of coupons! Huge selection on here! Product Pricing Coupons are free! Of course you do have to spend the money to use them, but they cost nothing to get. Customer Service Not sure if they even have customer service, these are free coupon codes. Shipping and Returns These are coupon codes, nothing to ship or return.

Couponcabin.com is designed to list sales and promotions from a variety of stores in one large database. I enjoy using it when I already have a product in mind, but I am looking for the best deal on price and shipping. Recently I used couponcabin.com to check several sporting good stores for any possible shipping deals (such as free shipping) for a larger purchase that I was making online. I was able to check each store, and couponcabin.com allowed me to find the one that had the best deal (at the time, the best deal was Gander Mountain). Ease of Use I typically search for a particular store and then see what deals are listed under that store. It is possible to search for a particular type of deal (such as free shipping, freebies, etc), but I find that it takes far too long to sort through all the stores that have free shipping (especially since they include ones that will give free shipping after spending a certain amount of money). For me, it's much easier to search by the name of the store, even if it means I need to search a few times to compare stores.

I love couponcabin.com. Some of my best coupon codes have come from here. In the beginning, it may seem somewhat of a challenge to navigate through the site, but once you get the hang of it, you will be racking in promo codes in no time. They have a wealth of stores to choose from. The coupon codes range from 10% all the way up to 80% off based on my experience so far. Although couponcabin.com is not my number one coupon site, it definitely falls within my top ten. I love it when they have promo codes for pizza hut. I always check couponcabin.com first before ordering online. Couponcabin.com is definitely another great source for coupon codes. Ease of Use It takes a little time to get use to but not at all difficult to adjust. Product Selection They have many promo codes daily. It is best to start off in the morning in order to catch some deals before they expire. Product Pricing Mostly 20 to 30 percent off promo codes and coupons. Shipping and Returns Not your typical shipping site

CouponCabin.com is an online source for coupons, coupon codes and information about deals and saving money. If you are trying to make a purchase from any type of website/store - simply go to CouponCabin.com and search for the store you are shopping at. Then, a list of promotions, coupon codes and deals will pop up for you to see and use. It's very simple and a great way to save money. They even post a little tab under each promo code that says "here's the proof"..that it works. These are guaranteed coupon codes that are proven to work, which saves the shopper time from sifting through expired codes. It's all very streamlined and user friendly, which I love. I have looked on other coupon websites before that have a mix of bad, expired or just false coupon codes - and it can be very time consuming to sort through those. Couponcabin.com is a reliable source for coupons and deal information. Ease of Use Very easy to use and navigate the site.

Coupon Cabin Review: Get Cash Back, Coupons, &#; Monthly Member-Only Deals

I&#;d steer clear of this company due to transparency issues. They flagged my account for what they deemed &#;unnatural activity,&#; but they could not explain to me what this activity was or why their security flagged it. I couldn&#;t find it. I complained about their lack of transparency and stated that I might have to look into whether or not this was a legal issue, and they promptly closed my account and will not respond other than to tell me that I have to write a letter to their legal department, at which point they&#;d get back to me within 30 days. So, I am left not knowing what this unnatural activity was or whether or not it poses a threat to my network. This company just isn&#;t worth the headaches, especially when there are other companies out there doing the same thing. It might not be a coincidence that I had over $75 pending payment, and I don&#;t know if they are trying to steal my money.

According to CouponCabin&#;s reply to a review that I had posted, they stated &#;While we recognize that threats, intimidation and insults may be effective with other companies, they are not at all tolerated at CouponCabin and your account has been permanently closed.&#; So, not only is this company deceptive, they out and out lie. Therefore, I have submitted complaints to the BBB in Indiana and Illinois, and I submitted complaints to the Attorney General&#;s offices in Indiana and Illinois. I will also be submitting a complaint to the FTC whenever the government shutdown ends. Further, I will be contacting various representatives in the Indiana government (I am a resident of Indiana). Based on not only my experiences but those of others that I&#;ve read about, CouponCabin has a pattern of immediately closing the accounts of anyone who has a problem with them or their customer service. Clearly they are trying to silence people and hide their own deceptive practices. I will most certainly be filing a civil claim against them if I do not receive my pending money that I legitimately earned. Based on other reviews that I&#;ve seen, it would seem that CouponCabin has a habit of not only immediately closing the accounts of those who complain, but they also seem to frequently make false claims against those who complain. I was a member for over 4 years. Trust me, sooner or later, they will do these same things to you.

    • Love being alerted to discounts and coupons when I go to a site rather that having to co a separate search. The box pops up to the right of my screen, then shrinks to a small cabin as a reminder while you shop. Sidekick will also scroll through the discounts once you get to the checkout page, giving you the best discount. Saved me so much time and money all year!!

    • By far, I get the most cash back from this add-on.

    • Great and almost completely painless to use. My one gripe is that they offer great cash-back, but only if I start with an empty cart and complete the transaction in one session. That's not how I shop in many cases. For things for my home or spouse, I put it in the cart, then review later with my spouse. For groceries, I put everything I _think_ I need in the cart, but I can modify my order until the afternoon before delivery - and I often go back and add one thing I forgot - like milk. This isn't "gaming the system" at all, but I don't get cash back. Is there some way to have the system let me still get cash back in these cases?

    • I have successfully used CouponCabin.com for several years and I have been extremely pleased with the ease of use and the cash I have been able to acquire since I began. I would recommend it to anyone who purchases a lot of items on the internet. It's a great way to make extra money.

    • I like the add on, but sometimes I am caught off guard when it pops up. The benefits are great because it allows you to save money that you did not know was available. So for that I say thanks!!!

    • Love it. Simple to use and you get cash back!

    • I have been using this add-on for almost a year and I have made more money back with this one than Ebates, which I have been using for almost two years. I also get my money sooner with Coupon Cabin than I do with Ebates. If you receive cashback for a hotel through the add-on, it will take about a month after you stay at the hotel for it to go through, so if you don't see it right away don't be worried.

    • A nice add on all of a sudden I got a $24 gift card for Amazon.

    • It works good but does pop up too much

    • It used to be great now its horrible. It used to wait for you to "activate" it but now you cant even shop without the darn thing popping up every few minutes. There are other nerving things it does that i will not go into here. I contacted them asking them for a pause button and they said they dont offer it. so essentially if you dont like it you just have to stop using it and go to one of their competitors. After years of using it, I'm deleting it. Only install this if you want a horrible shopping experience.

    • This add on is great, I literally just earn money for buying myself things. And it's easier then other cash back sites because there is a pop up that comes up when I am checking out and all I have to do is click it and bam, I get cash back!

    • Just signed up and have not used it yet. Looking forward to it though.

    • The navigation was easy and the steps were simple
