Our Mission

The mission of the Santa Fe Animal Shelter is to support animals, save lives and spread compassion.

The Santa Fe Animal Shelter is the largest animal shelter and care facility in northern New Mexico. We serve more than 10,000 lost, stray, abandoned or injured animals each year. As a private, not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization, we receive nearly all of our funding through private donors in our community and beyond. The Shelter contracts with the city and county of Santa Fe to care for homeless and stray animals, as well as those brought through our front doors

We work to reunite people with their lost animal companions, and re-home those animals that have gone unclaimed into new homes through our adoption program. Low- and no-cost spay/neuter programs address the overpopulati

All animals are available on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Our companion animal adoption fees vary and are dependent on many factors including: age, size, behavior, medical condition and public demand. We waive or reduce the adoption fee for many animals in our shelter thanks to generous supporters who sponsor the animal’s adoption fee.  Other animals – those we call Shelter Heroes – often carry a high adoption fee, which helps offset the costs of care and treatment of those animals who have a more difficult time finding the right family.

Companions for Veterans: in honor of those who have served or are serving our country in the armed forces, we offer 50 percent off the adoption fee of all animals.

Baby Boomer Buddies: Adoption fees are 50 percent off for adopters over the age of 65.

As an independent rescue SAVE has taken over 3000 animals into foster homes and out of shelters or off the streets of the Houston Metro area.  For most of these animals, we were the LAST resort

If you have interest in helping please visit our website at  We are always in need of volunteers, donations to help pay for vetting of adoptable animals, and foster homes.

Adoption Policy

Adopting a pet from SAVE Rescue Coalition is easy.  There is a simple two page application on our website at  Most dog adoptions are from $150.00 - $250.00.  Cats are available for $90-125.

Applications are evaluated to make the best match for your familiy and the animal you are interested in adopting. Most all of out adoptable animals are living in homes with foster families, so we have a good idea what their temperaments are like in a home situation.  We hope that you will look at our adoptable animals and find a forever friend, But whether it is our animal or from another shelter or rescue group, ADOPT DON"T SHOP.

Check out the events calendar on Petfinder or on our website at

We have adoption events every weekend somewhere in the Houston Metro area.  Come out to one of our events and meet animals from SAVE and from other rescue groups from around Houston.

I have not ignored my ass before, and it was quite developed. Introduced it into my hole and slightly moved it back and forth, I began to experience excitement. - Good. Now imagine that sperm is being poured into you. And he opened the tap on the hose.

It turned out that there is something. I fell into my hands that day, a yellow little newspaper with the magnificent name ISLAND OF LOVE. In terms of content, it was no different from similar publications that talk greasy about sex, but in addition to stupid and frank articles about who, where and with.

Whom sleeps in the newspaper, there were quite a few announcements of a marriage nature.
