Skip Using Vehicles
Using your friends to work your fields is also more efficient than paying for a harvester or tractor, which can cost you valuable coins. It also will cost you time to refuel the vehicles. Compared to using your friends, buying vehicles has a much lower return on investment.
Choose Your Crop Wisely
Choose crops that will bring in the most coins and also ones you will be able to harvest without losing them due to the time frame. In other words don't plant a crop which will be ready in the middle of the night while you're sleeping.
- A good choice for crops is raspberries. Because they only take two hours from planting to harvest, you can produce more at a faster rate than other crops.
- Strawberries and blueberries are also good berry choices, which have lower sale prices but the quantity produced is enough to bring in more money quickly.
- Another good crop is corn which can be used to gain corn seeds if you harvest it early. Once you have a large amount of seeds, you can grow more and then grind the harvested corn and sell it for a decent amount of coin.
- Cotton is also a great crop to plant and harvest to use in the cotton gin, although you do not have the option to plant cotton in the beginning and it's not available all the time based on the season.
Do Quests Often
If you complete a quest for money, you have the option of going to the original character who initiated the quest to do it again. Also realize that you can turn down quests and keep inquiring for more and choose the ones with the most coin as a reward.

- Lay out all of your materials on the grass: a few dirt paths, some flowers, and a wheelbarrow. The wheelbarrow can be used as a flower planter and the flowers will go in it.
- Move the dirth paths from the grass, to on top of the wheelbarrow.
- Now move a flower on top of the dirt path and place it there. You now have a flower planter in Farm Town! We just have to clean up how it looks a little now.
- Next, hide the barrel and the flower. Select your dirt paths and delete them.

Follow the steps below to learn how to make Farm Town Lakes and Oceans.
How to Make Farm Town Lakes and Oceans:
- Start by placing a river corner on your property in the location of your ocean or lake
- Place dirt paths on top of the river corner, like so. Important: You will probably need to move them from the grass to the top of the river corner – you cannot place them there directly from the store after purchase.
- Continue placing dirt paths on top of the corner until you have four across it. This will prepare your lake for the next piece
- Now that your dirt is in place, you will be creating your Farm Town ocean by setting another river corner on top of the dirt paths like so
- Your next step will be to move the dirt paths back on top of your newly placed water so that you can repeat the process

How to Make a Beach in Farm Town
- First, take pieces of a dirt in one direction. Create another right next to this in a parallel fashion. Repeat until you have what looks like a sandy beach
- Place some coconut trees, palm trees, and banana trees on this new sand
- Plow some land next to the dirt paths, once you are done making your sand. This image shows a similar technique with a hill added in.

Planting trees in Facebook seems to be an underrated strategy. Out of all the farms I have worked at, most are dominated by crops planted over and over. While there are several benefits to planting crops such as experience points gained and fast profit turn-around, it can also be very time consuming. Crops must be plowed, then planted, then harvested. This results in a very repetitive process which can get old quick. Why put yourself through that when you could be having fun instead?
Orange trees cost roughly $450 per tree and yield a harvest of about $50. What this means is that it will take about 9 harvests to break even. This seems like a really long time and can obviously be a large deterrant to planting. However, after the break even point has been reached then every harvest after this is pure profit. In Farmtown, trees have unlimited harvests. In contrast, planting crops requires a repeat investment. Another great advantage is the crops on trees don’t spoil like planted crops do, so you can forget about your farm for a long time without maintaining it if your life gets busy.
But what about experience points?
The beauty of this is that once you start raking in the money from your harvests, you can basically buy experience points while you make your farm look nice. If you haven’t noticed, as you purchase items in the stores in Farmtown, you also gain experience points. As you spend more, you generally get more experience points for building the structure. Check out my chart showing how to many you get when you buy experience points for each item in the store.
If you wish, you may also continue to maintain your fields until you have enough orange trees to prosper. Also, if you desire to plant trees other than orange trees, you will have to have a good friend to send them to you as gifts since they cannot be purchased in the stores. I would recommend against this unless you have several friends you can coordinate, because of the limit of sending one gift per day.
Houses:
Farm Town has a great variety of houses to choose from in the store. The higher Farm Town level you are, the more you can unlock and purchase. Farm Town houses aren’t functional in the sense that you can go in them, store things in them, or really do anything else with them other than take up space in the middle of your farm. So why buy them? I suppose it adds a little personal flare to your farm and makes it a little bit more friendly feeling while you are spending your time at it. So, on to the list of Farm Town houses available, their costs, and the levels they get unlocked at.
