Obi-Wan Show Fan Poster Imagines Darth Vader Using The Force To Fix His Armor

A new fan-made poster for the upcoming Obi-Wan Kenobi series imagines Anakin Skywalker fixing his Darth Vader suit using the Force on Mustafar.

Darth Vader uses the Force to fix his armor in a new Obi-Wan Kenobi fan-poster. Ewan McGregor is reprising his role as the fan-favorite Jedi in his own TV series which will also feature Hayden Christensen returning as his former-mentee-turned-arch nemesis, Anakin Skywalker.

After years of rumors, Lucasfilm finally announced during D23 2019 that it's bringing back McGregor for the much-clamored Obi-Wan Kenobi project. Originally hatched as a film, it was eventually reworked to become a TV series on Disney+. More recently during Disney's Investor Day, Kathleen Kennedy revealed more pertinent details about the show, arguably the most exciting of them all is the confirmation that Christensen is also involved, playing Darth Vader. The studio executive prefaced Obi-Wan and Vader's upcoming reunion the rematch of the century which has people excited.

It will still be a while before the Obi-Wan Kenobi show hits Disney+. Following a few delays due to different reasons including story rewrites, production is slated to start next year. While everyone waits for it, artists ultraraw26 took it upon himself to imagine what a one-sheet for the series would look like. His latest creation features Anakin fixing his Darth Vader armor using the Force in Mustafar. Check it out below:

During Kennedy's announcement, she specifically said that Christensen is returning as Darth Vader; there was no mention of whether or not he'll be shown as Anakin. Given when the events of Obi-Wan Kenobi fall in the Star Wars timeline, this makes sense. At this point, the former Jedi and once-believed to be the Chosen One has totally embraced the Dark side and became Emperor Palpatine's trusted apprentice. All that being said, Lucasfilm could've gotten away with featuring Darth Vader without Christensen's involvement as they did with Rogue One: A Star Wars Story before. The fact that they're bringing him in means that they have plans to actually show the character's face, whether that be before or after he became a Sith lord. One way to feature Anakin without breaking continuity is through flashbacks, more likely during the events of the Clone Wars which have been primarily explored through the animated series but not in live-action.

It's uncertain how present Darth Vader will be on Obi-Wan Kenobi. The Disney+ show is tagged as a limited series, meaning it'll only have one season so Lucasfilm's storytelling should be tight and precise. Aside from his dynamic with his former colleague, the series should also explore other aspects of Obi-Wan's exile, something that's separate from his ties to the Skywalkers. There's very little known as to what he was up to in Tatooine during his years of hiding in the desert planet, which gives Lucasfilm a lot of opportunities to build on the character's personal arc.

Ewan McGregor Teases OBI-WAN KENOBI Series Saying It "Will Not Disappoint"

The Emmy’s took place this past weekend, and Ewan McGregor took home the award for best actor in a limited series for his performance in the Netflix mini-series Halston. The actor did a bunch of interviews post-show, and in one virtual press interview, he was asked if he could say anything about the highly-anticipated Star Wars series Obi-Wan Kenobi that is headed to Disney+ next year.

Of course, he couldn’t say much, but here’s what he did say:

“We finished shooting our series, and it was really, really good fun. I really enjoyed working with [director/executive producer] Deborah Chow, and I think it will not disappoint. The new technology that we employed doing it is cool, and it was a different experience than making the original three films that I did.”

Sounds like a solid endorsement, and it’s cool that he had a different experience, as that’s what fans are looking to explore with the character.

McGregor is joined by new and returning cast members that include Hayden Christensen, Joel Edgerton, Maya Erskine, Rupert Friend, fellow 2021 Emmy nominee Moses Ingram, O’Shea Jackson Jr., Sung Kan, Simone Kessell, Kumail Nanjiani, Bonnie Piesse, Benny Sadie, Indira Varma, and more.

Obi-Wan Kenobi Season 1 is set to hit Disney+ in 2022.

Obi-Wan Kenobi Series Poster Revisits Iconic Star Wars Location

There is little doubt that the upcoming Obi-Wan Kenobi series will be filled with Easter Eggs and references to the original Star Wars film trilogy. After all, the Disney+ show will take place 10 years after the events in Revenge of the Sith and while the Jedi Master is hiding out in Tatooine. But could this mean we'll see one of the iconic locations from the movies? A new fan-made poster envisions Obi-Wan heading for a place we already know and love.

The Obi-Wan Kenobifan poster was created by digital artist PhaseRunner and has been shared on Twitter. It depicts Obi-Wan on a bantha on his way to Mos Eisley. Check it out below.

We're loving all the awesome details in the poster which features what looks like the Millennium Falcon flying over Mos Eisley. It might be too soon to expect Han Solo and Chewbacca hanging out at the cantina so there's still a possibility that this is a different Corellian transport. Nevertheless, we already have high hopes for the show.

Star Wars: Obi-Wan Kenobi will bring back Ewan McGregor as the Jedi Master. It has also been confirmed that Hayden Christensen will reprise his role as Darth Vader. In addition to that, it was previously reported that Temuera Morrison will join the cast to play an older version of Commander Cody.

The new Star Wars series has not yet been given an official release date but is expected to premiere on Disney+ sometime next year. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.

I have permission, Jeff said, alerting the detective to possible questions. And these bastards encroached on my private property. Frank nodded without saying a word. You can't argue here - the right to have weapons and the right to defend their property is sacred for US citizens. It took some time to inspect the rooms, after which Jeff led the detective towards the basement.
