Duck Dynasty star John Luke Robertson and his wife, Mary Kate, are expecting their second child.
The couple shared the good news via Instagram on Saturday (Nov. 14), posting a picture showing them with their 1-year-old son, John Shepherd, whom they welcomed in October of Mary Kate is holding John Shepherd in the photo, while John Luke holds up a series of photos from an ultrasound.
"We are so incredibly excited to be welcoming another sweet baby into our family!!!" the couple write alongside their beaming photograph. "This new life is such a gift we are so thankful for! Sheps going to be the sweetest big brother."
Duck Dynasty aired on A&E from , following the lives of the flamboyantly down-home Robertson clan, who have earned a fortune from their line of Duck Commander duck calls. Licensing deals followed for all manner of apparel and merchandise, and the family members have since become prominent in the evangelical Christian movement in the U.S., as well as conservative politics.

The news of his second child comes not long after his younger sister, Sadie, announced that she and her husband, Christian Huff, are expecting their first child, so it looks like the Duck Dynasty family legacy will continue on for another generation.

Duck Dynasty's John Luke Robertson and his wife, Mary Kate, are now a family of four! John Luke revealed via Instagram on Monday that Mary Kate has given birth to their second child, a baby girl, whom they've decided to name Ella.
John Luke and Mary Kate have been married since and are also parents to their 1-year-old son, John Shepherd. The couple shared pictures of their newborn daughter on Instagram.
"Welcome to the world baby Ella!" John Luke, 25, wrote. "You are sooo cute!! Good to have a child that looks like me!"
Meanwhile, Mary Kate shared that Ella was born on April 8.
"Our precious Ella Kathryn!" Mary Kate captioned pictures of Ella taken in the hospital. "She was born Thursday morning, 4/8/21, and it was just the sweetest, most peaceful, joy-filled delivery and day. We are so thankful for this little blessing!"
ET recently spoke to John Luke's parents, Korie and Willie Robertson, about their new Facebook Watch series, At Home With the Robertsons, and what it's been like going through such an exciting time with their family. In addition to the arrival of baby Ella, their year-old daughter, Sadie Robertson, is pregnant with her first child with husband Christian Huff, and is expecting her baby girl soon.
"We have two boys now and we're going to have two girls," Korie noted of their grandchildren. "So, this year is going to be really big. And then [daughter] Bella's getting married. So we have a wedding we're planning as well."
"There's a lot happening but we love being grandparents," she added. "It's so much fun and all of them live close to us so we get to spend a lot of time. They get to spend the night at our house and wake up and little grandbabies and it's a lot of fun."
Meanwhile, Willie told ET that he's more of the disciplinarian.
"They're hitting the terrible twos right now," he said of his grandchildren. "So, that's my specialty. I get to combat the terrible twos. I get to be that side of it."

Duck Dynasty star John Luke Robertson and wife Mary Kate Robertson welcomed their second baby together, daughter Ella Kathryn Robertson, on Thursday, April 8, they announced on Instagram Monday. The pair are also parents to son John Shepherd, 18 months.
"Our precious Ella Kathryn! She was born Thursday morning, 4/8/21, and it was just the sweetest, most peaceful, joy-filled delivery and day. We are so thankful for this little blessing!" wrote the mom, sharing a pair of photos of the newborn.
John Luke, 25, shared a photo of himself smiling alongside his wife and baby girl, writing, "Welcome to the world baby Ella! You are sooo cute!! Good to have a child that looks like me!"

Duck Dynasty star John Luke Robertson and his wife, Mary Kate, officially have a family of four. The couple posted the celebratory news to Instagram on Monday (April 12): An adorable snapshot of the proud parents with their new baby girl.
The post was not only an announcement post, but also in the caption, Mary Kate reveals the name of their daughter: Ella!
On April 7, Mary Kate posted a compilation of photos of a precious moment she shared with the couple's first child, son John Shepherd. She knew Ella was coming that day, though it wasn't disclosed to fans until later. Now, looking at that post, it's obvious the emotions she was having as she prepared to become a mother of two. She was all in her feelings that day that she was about to be a mom of two.
She re-shared that post to Instagram Stories, revealing that she had posted knowing it would be the last with just her little boy. "I also got very emotional thinking about John Shepherd and posted this," she says.

Ella isn't the only grandbaby the Robertson family has been waiting on, as John Luke's younger sister, Sadie is also pregnant and is only due two weeks after Mary Kate was expected to deliver. April will be a major celebratory month now for the Robertson crew.

As of publishing, there is no baby news yet for Sadie. The Duck Dynasty star alum posted a photo on her personal Instagram Story of meeting baby Ella with her husband Christian, mentioning that this interaction was great practice as they await the arrival of their own baby girl. Like Mary Kate and John Luke, Sadie and Christian have yet to announce the name of their daughter.

John Luke announced in November that he and the blogger, 24, were giving son Shep, then 13 months, a younger sibling. “Round two,” the former reality star captioned his Instagram reveal at the time.
His wife added that they were “incredibly excited” to be expanding their family, writing, “This new life is such a gift we are so thankful for! Shep’s going to be the sweetest big brother.”
The couple welcomed Shep in January While celebrating his 1st birthday, Mary Kate wrote via Instagram: “Lots of precious days and lots of learning and growing, ultimately leaving me feeling thankful.”

The Live Fearless author, 23, announced her own pregnancy in October and had a joint baby shower with Mary Kate four months later.
Sadie called their upcoming arrivals “lifelong built-in besties,” writing via Instagram: “Last August, my sis-in-law told me she was pregnant and we were sooo excited! Two weeks later, she told me I was pregnant too in a dream. I woke up took a test AND I WAS! this journey has been so fun with you. Can’t wait to meet our girls.”
Mary Kate also posted a slideshow of party pics, writing, “Sometimes I can still hardly believe we’re having baby girls less than two weeks apart! Goodness, it’s been such a special and fun journey to get to share with my sis-in-law! Our babies were showered yesterday by family and friends and I’m still kinda blown away by everyone’s love.”
She and John Luke got engaged in October after one year of dating. “I am so excited to marry my best friend,” the former A&E Network personality exclusively told Us Weekly at the time. “I know my parents [Willie Robertson and Korie Robertson] married young as well, and they have always been examples of what ‘could be’ to me. Fast-forward 22 years and they are more in love than ever, and I hope Mary Kate and I are the same way in the years to come. God has truly blessed us.”
The pair tied the knot in June in Louisiana. The groom had an “amazing time” at the ceremony, he told Us at the time. Mary Kate chimed in, “It was one of the best days of my life!
