The Performance Friction 323.045.87 & 323.045.88 Direct Drive Rotor is a direct 2-piece rotor replacement for the Chevrolet Corvette C5 & C6 front brakes, including Z06 models. They are designed to be used with the factory caliper, with no other parts or modifications necessary. Kit includes everything needed (rotor, hat and hardware) for a single rotor replacement. Priced per rotor.

Performance Friction's full floating Direct Drive attachment system allows the brake disc to naturally expand/contract both radially and axially without being constrained by the hub. This helps eliminate rotor warping, vibrations and pulsations. Due to the high quality of Performance Friction's design and manufacturing, the Direct Drive rotors are completely silent and rattle-free - a trait not typically found in many competitor's 2-piece designs. The Previous generation C6 Corvette grew in size and weight, so they wanted to make the new C6 Corvette smaller and lighter. Engine power was also increased to 400 horsepower, the same as the previous years Z06. The new Z06 horsepower was increased to 505 and the ZR1 C6 Corvette would have over 600 horsepower.     ​The Brembo GT-R braking systems for the C6 Corvette Z06 are designed to meet the needs of aggressive braking whether on the road or the track, and that's a good thing as the ultra powerful LS7 engine line can get the C6 Z06 going very fast. Brembo C6 Corvette Z06 GT-R Big Brakes are the most advanced expression of all Brembo's experience in braking system design. The GT-R C6 Corvette Big Brake Kit is comprised of single block billet aluminium calipers with 4 and 6 piston radial attachment, two piece floating discs, pads with different friction material and high performance hardware.   Single block calipers in billet aluminium with racing characteristics:  lightweight, rigid and resistant to high temperatures The GT-R calipers are made from billet aluminium with radial 4 and 6 piston attachments. They reduce the non suspended weight, improving the dynamics and vehicle performance. They are designed to provide a constant locking strength and the sensation of a stable and reliable pedal. The pistons with stainless steel radiators allow a significant reduction of heat passage during extreme driving, reducing brake wear to a minimum. In order to guarantee protection against corrosion and to provide high quality in the field, the GT-R calipers are nickel plated and have the Brembo logo CNC machined in red embossing. The GT-R system has been designed for the driver who demands exceptional performance on the street and on the track. It includes 4 or 6-piston monobloc calipers, two-piece floating brake rotors, a selection of friction materials and all the necessary hardware to insure seamless installation. The GT-R calipers are machined entirely from billet like a $10,000 race caliper, not cast like our GT calipers. Billet calipers include the benefits of a full race brake system: more stiffness, lighter weight (GT-R calipers achieve a weight reduction up to 10 percent compared to casted versions) and more thermo-mechanical resistance. The nickel-plated finish provides additional treatment against corrosion and ensures a long lasting, attractive look. The pistons, complete with stainless steel inserts, provide an additional heat barrier virtually eliminating fade even during max-limit and on-track driving. Unique dual inner seals design keeps the seals away from excess heat. The inner seal acts as a pressure seal, with the outer seal acting as a wiper for long seal life in extreme conditions.     These are the C6 Corvette Z06 (2006-present Z06 only) Brembo GT Monobloc replacement front rotors. Available in slotted or drilled, they are the exact replacement rotors needed for your C6 Corvette Z06 Brembo Monobloc kit (please note these are not OEM rotors that will NOT fit on the OEM Z06 brakes ). You need to of upgraded your brakes to the Brembo C6 Corvette Z06 Monobloc GT Kit for these rotors to be applicable on your C6 Corvette Z06. Please Read: The 2-piece rotor assemblies in Brembo GT systems are made up of three primary components; disc (outer ring), disc hardware and bell or hat (black aluminum center portion). Discs and disc hardware are standard wear items. Bells/Hats, however, may be re-used if properly inspected and there are no visible signs of wear. The life of these components will vary based on the vehicle, driver and driving conditions. Discs should be replaced if any of the following occur: Disc exceeds minimum thickness, causes steering wheel feedback (due to uneven pad transfer) or shows signs of excessive cracking. The minimum thickness is stamped on the edge of the disc. (See image 3) Disc hardware must be replaced each time a disc is replaced. If the hardware is re-used and out of tolerance, it may dramatically accelerate the wear of both the disc and bell.  Bells should be inspected for wear each time a disc is replaced. The bell can typically be re-used unless there are signs of visible wear. Re-using a bell that is out of tolerance will dramatically accelerate the wear of the disc and the disc hardware.     The DBA 4000 Series is an excellent mid-series street legal brake rotors for your C6 Corvette that is an excellent upgrade from the OEM Rotors. The DBA 4000 Series Rotors that we offer are an exact match for OEM equipment for the C6 Corvette and can easily be installed without any additional components or modifications to your C6 Corvette.

    DBA’s 4000-series enhanced performance rotor features Thermal Stability Profiling for improved heat handling. This unique process provides greater thermal stability than standard street discs. TSP enhances the microstructure of the disc rotor for performance applications. Greater thermal stability allows your discs to take more heat, making them more stable under heavy braking for longer. TSP also means improved brake pad and disc rotor life, and delayed brake fade.

    Also unique to DBA Rotors, Thermo-Graphic paint markings are used for effective heat monitoring which changes color at specific temperature thresholds. By monitoring the markings, drivers can check their braking performance quickly and easily.

    The GiroDisc system is an upgrade to a 2-piece steel rotor and aluminum hat combination and is a direct replacement for the OEM brake disc.  The 2-piece floating disc will bolt directly to the car and work with OEM calipers perfectly.  By upgrading your brakes with these lightweight high-performance replacements as opposed to a big brake kit, your factory bias is maintained as well as your ABS efficiency.  The Giro Disc rotors are lighter than OEM pieces.  The reduction in rotational and unsprung weight allows for quicker acceleration and suspension response.

    When used with Pagid or PFC performance brake pads, and Competition Motorsport RF-1 brake fluid (also available from CompetitionMotorsport.com), you have an amazing solution to overheating, cracking and warping rotors.

    The central hat section of the disc is made from 6061-T6 aircraft specification aluminum.  The disc is manufactured from cast iron which is constructed in the USA and is made to the same specification with the same material used by professional racing organizations.  The rotors curved vane design was developed in racing and acts as a centrifugal pump to force cooling air through the disc.  

    The rotor and hat mount together through a floating mount system which utilizes 8-10 high strength alloy steel drive pins manufactured by GiroDisc in the USA to our own specifications and are cadmium plated for corrosion resistance.  The alloy drive pins transfer the load from the brake action while maintaining the axial and radial float between the disc rotor and hat.  The pins are secured by grade12 cap screws with hardened washers and mounted with anti-noise spring washers to allow for heat expansion while eliminating the rattle and noise associated with floating rotors.

    The 2-piece GiroDisc design allows for rotor only replacement as well to minimize future replacement costs and deliver outstanding performance and cooling.
