This 64-acre former private estate turned public property was bequeathed to the Town of Brookline in the 1950s; it is now the town’s largest park, with easy walking paths, sports fields, a playground, an ice-skating rink, a lagoon, plenty of places to picnic, and an auto museum. The Temple of Love gazebo is a wonderful place to gaze out at the peaceful scenery. Head up to the highest point on the main ridge for fantastic views of Boston.

The main ridge is a popular spot to watch Boston’s Fourth of July fireworks or to fly kites, because there’s always a wind. In winter, the many hills call to sledders when snow is on the ground. Overall, Larz Anderson Park offers a lovely outdoor respite from the city and is an extremely popular gathering place for groups.

From May through October, the Auto Museum holds a series of lawn events on the weekends, showcasing different kinds of vehicles, from Corvettes to motorcycles to Minis. The events are always lots of fun, for both adults and kids.

Remember: The grills, picnic areas, Temple of Love gazebo, and other areas are often rented out to groups by the Town of Brookline. Call ahead to reserve a space if you want to cook out.

German Car Day is back this fall and with you and your friends, it will be better than ever. There will be no judging - just an informal day of fun and German engineering. You'll be helping the Larz Anderson Auto Museum fulfill its mission to keep bringing car enthusiasts together.

- Feel the pride of showing your German car – regardless of make, model or year – all are welcome.

- Catch up with old friends – and make new ones

- Enjoy some of the best examples of German engineering in the area
The show starts at 10am and runs until 2pm. The Museum will be open until 3pm for your viewing.

- There will be limited food or beverages available for purchase.

- Masks are highly recommended but not required.

Registration will close on Saturday, October 2 at 12pm.

When I come across an individual in auto business like Brandon at Anderson Auto, I'm immediately impressed if they take the time to talk about the market conditions, changes in buying/selling patterns, auction trends etc.  Coming from a family in auto business, I've always been intrigued and captured by what I've learned over the years. Little things like talking to a customer as a person vs a quick sale opportunity holds its weight in gold. Ultimately having a satisfied customer seperates places like Anderson Auto from the rest. Jason and Brandon operate under those simple business practices, which clearly has led to their continued success and great reputation. It is evident from moment you meet Brandon he's very knowledgeable about the business and great at what he does. It's a pleasure to come across individuals when they clearly enjoy and are proud of their work. I've always held off on reviews until I walk out a door happy. Ironically I find myself sharing my positive experience at Anderson Auto before purchasing. I realized in all the years of being around and coached with endless info from family in the business, Brandon and Jason remain one of the few I'd urge others to visit due to their unique method of building and conducting business with customers. Credit given when credit is deserved. In the short amount of time I spent talking to Brandon, he not only listened, he was respectful, friendly, easy going, and provided useful feedback. My family may have taught and given me the tools on how to work magic in negotiating, however, I rely on knowledge obtained and past experiences to close deals. I may be savvy, but my career is not in the auto business, so I'm not negotiating deals day in and day out for a career. I enjoy the process unlike most, but it's only a result of the exposure since childhood, and my interest in understanding the profession. I truly believe my impromptu stop to Anderson Auto and meeting Brandon helped solidify my choice of whos worthy giving business to. Brandon's genuine interest in my situation and willingness to spend time providing helpful information is why I know I'll make a choice best for me and my family when buying a vehicle. I'm happy to have met Brandon and know that Anderson Auto will be a current and future option for vehicle purchase(s). A well deserved high five to Brandon for not making me feel the need to drive away within the 1st 5 minutes of my visit. Glad to have  businesses available like Anderson Auto!
